10 Things that have changed thanks to student feedback

Inverclyde
Class Reps

Questioned asked

1) Barriers in room to come down in 402
2) Hairdressing on ground floor for new lockers.
3) Switch card machine for canteen.
4) Changing days in blocks
5) Seating and breaks to be staggered.
6) Heating in classrooms.
7) Computers are not working, and there isn’t enough for all students in class.
8) Smoking area.
9) Play park outside the college
10) ATM in the college.

Resolved or in process

1) Barriers have been taken down in room 402.
2) There are no spaces to put lockers on the bottom floor, the only solution is to try and get one on the first floor.
3) Switch cards would cost the college money every time it was used, so canteen prices would go up.
4) This can not be helped, for some lecturers can only study on these days and when rooms are available, full time students are aware of this on induction.
5) This is getting looked at, as we don’t want other classes disrupted with noise in the corridors.
6) At the moment there are new cooling systems getting tested in the fifth floor of the Finnart campus.
7) Computers are being repaired in the Waterfront campus and new ones are being installed to comply with the number of students in class.
8) The new smoking shelter will be situated were the old play park.
9) The play park has been removed for the new smoking shelter. This will be marked clearly for students.
10) Having spoke to some of the students, they have said that there are ATM close to the college; they are situated on Kelly Street and at the West station.

All other questions will be answered.
